Meet Your Instructor: Dr. Nabors
Dr. Nabors grew up in a dental family as his father was also a dentist. He attended Mississippi State University, Lipscomb University, and dental school at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.
He is one of less than 500 Accredited Cosmetic Dentists in the world through the prestigious American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Accreditation Program, a graduate of the LSU Post Graduate Cosmetic Continuum , a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, a Hornbrook Group Clinical Mentor, and lectures regularly on Cosmetic Smile Enhancement and Oral Health as it relates to gum disease and total body health.
As an educator, he has served over 10 years as part of the Editorial Review Board of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and serves as an Editor for the Journal of the American Dental Association.
He was a Co-Founder of OralDNA Labs, one of the first salivary diagnostic labs in the United States dedicated to the microbial analysis of periodontal diseases until the lab was sold to Quest Diagnostics. His periodontal protocols have been taught for years as the basis for non-surgical periodontal therapy and is a noted authority on periodontal infections and treatment.
Since he founded Beam Education in 2022, Dr. Nabors has provided elite courses on porcelain veneer planning, preparation, and fabrication, as well as cutting-edge periodontal therapies.

Dr. Nabors is proud to give back to underserved populations. Partnering with IC13 since 2010, he has completed medical missions in Haiti, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. He also provides services through two charities: the Crown Council’s Smiles for Life Foundation and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s Give Back a Smile program.

Dr. Nabors is excited to offer three Beam Education courses to dental providers. We feature small class sizes for an intimate, hands-on setting that is vastly different from many other educators. You and your team can choose from:
No-Prep Veneer Course
If you're looking to truly elevate your porcelain veneer skillset, this is the class for you. Today's no-prep veneers are a far cry from the often bulky restorations we saw in the past. Dr. Nabors uses his 20 years of experience in this area to educate providers from both clinical and laboratory perspectives. Students will also get to work with Josh Walker Ceramics from Utah Valley Dental Lab. Plus, you'll have the chance to submit your own veneer case for review.

Pure Perio Concierge Service
Our team is excited to be at the forefront of the modern approach to periodontal therapy. We'll cover the connection between periodontal disease and its damaging effects on the entire body, as well as salivary diagnostics, sulcular irrigation, and the Pure Perio protocol. This protocol includes custom medical treatments, biofilm reduction, and dental coding.
Dr. Nabors can visit your office to educate your entire team during this one-day course, which features both hands-on and classroom components. Our highly experienced hygienist, Andrea Owens, can also accompany Dr. Nabors to provide perspective from a supporting role.

My First Veneer Course
Learn or re-discover what makes veneers such an incredibly versatile tool in the field of cosmetic dentistry. This course can be beneficial for both newer dentists and established practitioners looking to brush up on the basics. Dr. Nabors will cover a range of techniques for traditional and no-prep veneers, from the initial consultation to final delivery.

He is married to Lesley and has three adult children, Wright, Brett, and Sophie. When not at work or at home, you might find him on a race track somewhere in the Mid-South as he competes in the NASA road racing series in his 2001 Ford Mustang Cobra.
